Prime Minister Modi's Accusations Against Bihar's Grand Alliance

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Grand Alliance in Bihar of experiencing significant internal discord. He claimed that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) coerced the Congress into accepting its leader as the chief ministerial candidate under duress. Speaking at a public rally in Ara, Modi stated that the Congress did not wish to nominate the RJD leader for the chief minister position, but the RJD effectively forced the issue.

Modi highlighted the intense conflict between the RJD and Congress, noting that the demands outlined in the Congress manifesto were ignored. He expressed skepticism about their ability to work together, suggesting that their mutual animosity would only escalate after the elections. He remarked that if the RJD brought 'jungle raj' and appeasement politics to Bihar, the Congress's legacy is marred by the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, which occurred on November 1 and 2. He pointed out that even today, the Congress continues to honor individuals associated with those riots within its ranks.

During his address in Ara, Modi emphasized the importance of Bihar's youth contributing to the state's development. He expressed optimism that Bihar would soon emerge as a leading hub for textiles and tourism in Eastern India. Modi urged those speculating from Delhi to visit Bihar and witness the positive changes firsthand. He also recalled how no government had managed to revoke Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir until he made that promise and fulfilled it. He criticized the Congress for being oblivious to the turmoil in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor while the party's leaders were preoccupied with their own concerns.

Modi further condemned the RJD and Congress leaders for disrespecting the faith of the people. He cited instances where RJD leaders dismissed the Kumbh Mela as 'trivial' and a prominent Congress figure referred to the Chhath festival as a mere 'drama.' He asserted that Bihar would never forgive those who belittle its cultural values and insisted that severe consequences should be imposed on anyone who dares to insult the Chhath festival again.
